Emote.in - A Microblogging Service That Lets You Share Your Emotions with Your Friends

Emote.in is a micro-blogging platform that lets you share your emotions. You can share information about yourself, how you are feeling, where you are and what you're doing etc.

These emotions called “Dots” can be written as short text messages in 140 words and broadcasted to friends using the web, rss feeds, or instant messages.

To try this service, you can register with your facebook or openID or can even create a new Emote account. On the public life-stream section, you can start by typing some message into the text-box at the top of the page. As soon as you click "Send”, it will go out on the public life-stream and everyone who is subscribed to your notices would be able to read your message.

Emote implements the OpenMicroBlogging protocol, which means that your friends, who use other micro-blogging services, can also receive your notices.

Emote.in displayes all posted notices in vertical notice list, which are arranged by recency to create a unique and enhanced experience. This time-line displays your life-stream on a horizontal canvas and provides control and capability to go back in time, connecting past seamlessly with the present.

At Emote, you can even explore various groups, which you can join to talk with like minded people. If you can’t find a group, you might look to start one.

Unique Features and Our Reviews

Emote is a new microblogging service that lets you share messages within your network and public. It seems to accommodate all the features that you might find in their role model site Twitter.com.

The website looks pretty neat, but lacks attractiveness. It needs to be worked upon from design perspective.

One of the features that interested us was the Groups feature, which though replicates Lists in Twitter, but is certainly a feature that can help people share thoughts on similar things.

Agreed.. I use emote as a digital diary, recollection of one's life. People often feel reminiscing about their past. On Emote, people can visit notable dates & see what they were up to, on their lifestream, hence re-living old memories. Blogging -> Microblogging -> ? Emote is the answer. It’s a fresh idea and its time has come...
