VillageLaundryService is an initiative which aims to provide mobile laundry services such as washing, drying, and ironing to their clients at an affordable cost.
They have one-machine laundry booths which operates under the trade-name “Chamak” across various cities of India. Chamak booths use high-quality and modern washing methods such as use of premium quality detergents and high-efficiency, eco-friendly front-loading washing machines.
The service charges each kg of clothes at 35/- and they even SMS you once done. VLS process each customer’s batch within 24 hours, compared to 5-7 days required with regular launderettes.
This service is especially useful for people who desire better cleaning but either don’t have the facility or the financial affordability; these are typically students, young adults or lower income families.
In addition to providing a valuable service, they also encourage social entrepreneurship by providing laundry booths franchises to carefully selected and trained low-income entrepreneurs.
Mumbai based Village Laundry Service is funded by Innosight Ventures, a venture capital firm that leverages the concepts of disruptive innovation.

VillageLaundryService is offering laundry services on the move. Their concept seems really unique and we have not even heard of this kind of service anytime before.
The service can become really popular as the charges seem to be affordable. The company has already received venture funding which itself shows its acceptance in market.
The website is also kind of attractive and clearly states what they are offering to their customers. We cannot comment on their service quality as it is not possible to test them from remote location.
