Vidteq is a Bangalore based startup that provides video maps based driving direction for Bangalore city. The map provides a video of the actual route to your destination.
Street names, Businesses and other Landmarks are embedded in these videos as over layers. This helps you to figure out where to turn and the exact location of your destination.
The video map is a video clip of the complete route between source and destination with rich features like business logos, background music, turn-by-turn audio overlay and road names embedded into it. This map is built using individual geo-tagged video segments.
The team has manually captured videos of all the roads (Main and Internal) in Bangalore city. They have also built a whole set of proprietary tools to handle the complete process of geo-tagging the Video clips which display driving directions as a continuous video.

Google and Microsoft have already launched their ambitious plans to geo-tag each and every street in world and have been already successful in US. Coming to India would be a tough ask but will certainly a situation of total chaos for players who are still getting established in this domain.
