Paahijen is a translation tool that serves as an online notepad/scratchpad for local language.
The service has two heads, one is a tag based advertising system called Tagwise, and the other a multi-lingual scratchpad.
Tagwise allows you to post a classified and vote them. It even also allows you to do group buying of a product. There is a way to actually use text in paahijen-Tagwise anywhere in their blogs or emails or while scrapping.
Scratchpad allows you to enter in a word and then translate in a language . The word then gets converted into that font, and you can then use it where/how you wish.
Paahijen supports all the major languages written in India. It is basically a collection of web based applications primarily focused for serving content in users own language and even he can contribute to it.
The service makes extensive use of unicode character set and UTF-8 encoding.

Paahijen is a language translation service with two apps "TagWise" and "Scratchpad" in their kitty. The apps are really useful from a translation perspective.
The site doesnt have too may contributors as of now at TagWise and the posts also seems pretty old. There is definite need to market the service if it needs to scale up anytime in future.
