Google Acquires AdMob - Mobile Display Ad Network

Google has acquired US-based mobile display advertising company AdMob for $750 million. The AdMob acquisition is expected to enhance Google's existing expertise and technology in mobile advertising and also help develop more effective tools for creating, serving and analyzing emerging mobile ads formats.
AdMob’s people, products and tools will continue to work to effectively monetize your mobile traffic – no interruptions. Their product and engineering teams will keep building great products for customers.
After the deal closes, AdMob will work with Google to accelerate the pace of innovation in mobile and do an even better job for customers. This deal will benefit for developer and publisher partners by Building even more powerful technology and tools to monetize mobile traffic.
As publishers and developers generate more revenue from their mobile products, they will invest more, and their mobile offerings will become richer, more creative and more robust.
Their business development team will keep working to maximize ad revenue for the more than 15,000 mobile Web sites and applications that make up AdMob's publisher network.
AdMob was founded in 2006 by Omar Hamoui.
