RCOM Partners Mobile Social Community Moko.mobi For Value Added Services

Reliance Communications (RCOM) has now added Moko.mobi, a mobile social community, on its R-World mobile value added services portal.
MOKO.mobi will offer RCom subscribers services such as instant chat, profile management tools, including user-name, description, image and video galleries, messaging inbox, friends list, tags, editing tools, and privacy settings. It will enable user to upload content via MMS or the Web. It will also offer editorial content to cultivate a positive community.
Moko.mobi is the flagship community owned by a Sydney-based firm with its namesake. It is an application that allows mobile users to chat with each other and share files using the mobile Internet, but can also be accessed online.
Moko.mobi was selected by the ICC to be the official mobile community; RCOM had tied up with it for the express purpose of hosting a dedicated section on the ICC T-20.
In the case of the Airtel agreement, the telco will offer its users a subscription based model and price it as a premium VAS. Moko will receive a share of this revenue. The first revenue from this alliance will be generated in the first quarter (Jan-Feb-Mar) of 2010.
