Sony India has launched its wearable, wireless MP3 player, NWZ-W202. The device is a 2GB capacity headphone-style Walkman, freed from headphone cables. These spiral form headphones fit comfortably on the ears, and are convenient for carrying.

The NWZ-W202 comes with 13.5mm EX Headphones with soft silicon ear buds. The headphones feature the new and unique 'Zappin' Function and Jog Dial Operation that allow users to find songs easily.

Zappin lets you browse through tracks by ear by playing a snippet of the chorus of each song. You can choose between long (10 seconds) and short (4 seconds) settings for this mode, and if you come across a song you want to hear, a press of the jog button will start it from the beginning.

Inside these headphones resides a built-in Li-ion rechargeable battery which accepts USB-based charging. NWZ-W202 also has multi audio codec support for MP3/AAC/WMA (DRM).

The gadget claims to offer 12 hours battery life.
